POP WARNER FOOTBALL - 2026 FALL SEASON
Program Overview
Our 2026 Fall Tackle Football program is 11 vs 11 tackle football and is played through FYD Pop Warner's Age-Based Divisions. The Fall Tackle season begins with Summer Conditioning/7v7 Football in June.
Learn to Play is an introduction to tackle football program for 3-5 year olds created by the Chiefs and not affiliated with Pop Warner. The purpose of this program is to prepare our younger athletes for tackle football. They will play some flag football games in the fall; however, instruction and practice will focus on tackle techniques and game play--this is not a flag football program. No tackle equipment will be issued. Only item needed are football cleats.

Divisions
Placement is based on the athlete's age on July 14, 2026.
Learn to Play - ages 3-6
6U Competitive Flag - ages 5-6
7U Tackle - ages 6-7
9U Tackle - ages 8-9
11U Tackle - ages 10-11
13U Tackle - ages 12-13
Schedule and Program Details
The Fall Tackle season begins with summer conditioning in June and ends with a Saturday 7v7 tournament at the end of June. We take a small break and then Fall Tackle starts up July 15th and runs from July through November. Depending on team performance, post-season regionals and nationals take place late-November/early-December.
PRACTICES (subject to change)
Summer Conditioning
Begins June 2nd through Saturday, June 27th @ the 7v7 Tournament (date is tentative)
June practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm-8(ish)pm
Fall Season
All tackle teams practice Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
Learn to Play practice is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm-7:30pm.
Note: There are additional practice dates in the first 3 weeks of the Fall Season to accommodate conditioning requirements.
Players are required to meet conditioning requirements (20hrs of fall practice) before they will be allowed to play any games/Jamboree.

Practices are located at our home fields at Oscar Cooler Sports Complex in Lutz.

GAMES
Fall games begin in August and take place on Saturdays.
Kickoff times vary by division. Historically, games progress from our youngest team through 13U.
We typically have 9-10 games. Roughly half of these games will be played at our home fields in Lutz. Away games are played at opponent fields in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas or Manatee County. There is a chance we may play one out-of-conference game.
The Fall game schedule will be released sometime in August.
EQUIPMENT
All necessary equipment (other than cleats and athletic supporter) are provided by the Chiefs. Included in the cost of your registration is the use of certified NOCSAE football helmet, shoulder pads, practice pants, a practice jersey and game-day uniform(s). This equipment will be fitted and issued to your athlete at the beginning of the season during Equipment Distribution and must be returned after the last game at Equipment Return.
IMPORTANT DATE!! Saturday June 6, 2026 is Equipment Distribution.
Equipment Distribution is mandatory, so mark your calendars!
